Color Theory Color Theory

A little basic

The game itself is enjoyable, but some of the puzzles weren't very creative and I had the feeling I did the same sort of puzzles in other games. Also, the color aspect is interesting, but it was still far too simple not even look at the colors and just try some of the buttons. I did that the whole game long, and I could still beat it. You have an interesting concept here, why not pushing this to the limit where the player would have to think harder with colors, instead of just making it into a fairly straight forward platformer?

Also, I looked at the reviews after I beat the game, and everyone was ssaying the last level was near impossible. I honestly thought there was some bonus level I missed, since the last level isn't so hard (not bragging, I honestly think it is).

Bottomline: Very interesting concept, but make some harder puzzles with the color concept involved. If you can execute this perfectly, you sir, have a very original and enjoyable game in your hands. And if you plan to keep it a platformer, throw some harder levels in it so that everybody is happy.

Great game!

I understand all the people who want to bring down this game because it's a rip-off from the original, but come on, how many games are based on other games where people find it perfectly normal? This even happens in the big game industry, so why would someone bother on a flash game?

The game is well executed, apart from the bugs, but it's nice to see the developers are still working on them, even after the release. I didn't play it fully through yet, but so far it's a great game, and I just wanted to make clear that people with copyright claims and that sort of things are just whining for nothing. Understand this is a flash game, not some big budget game, so just enjoy since it's free, because it is really good.

Only complain I can make is that the replay value of this game isn't that high, but that's more because of the actual gameplay, I just can't play this game for an hour straight.

HiRoads HiRoads

When I saw this game on the frontpage, I was expecting a very bad rip-off, but you actually managed to capture the exact vibe, difficulty and controls in this game! The backgrounds look amazing, the levels are good, the music is good. And like you said yourself, there are many levels to play with the level editor. Thank you for this nostalgic experience, it was great! :-) I'm actually thinking to play SkiRoads again.. Is that a bad thing?

MonkeyOdyssey responds:

I think it's not a bad thing at all... If you want recurring nightmares every night, you can try the Xmas edition!

But still, I really don't like the game. Don't get me wrong, I like the classic, no point at all, difficult games. But the music is horribly, it's get annoying after a couple of seconds already. Also, the collision detection doesn't make sense at all. If you jump pretty late, you can see the car is even at your position and you're death. This makes the jumping even more difficult, but in a bad way. It doesn't feel good when you actually clear the jump, because for my feeling I was jumping far too late. Also, even for such a short game, the animation is crap. Sorry, but even for a classic game like this, you could've put in a decent animation, since there already is like nothing you have to animate. At this time, you don't get the crowd you would get years ago with games like this. Well, if you execute like this I mean. Still, some stars for making a classic game, wish there were more of them on Newgrounds at this time.

T E T R I S ' D: The Game T E T R I S ' D: The Game

Pretty good, but some flaws.

To say this first, I loved the two Tetris'd movies, so good job on that. But that's why I'm pretty dissapointed in this game. The idea was great, but as everyone said it was way to glitchy. But that's not the only thing that stung me.

First, the game is a little.. hard to play to say this. The walljumps don't really feel good to perform, and the jumps feel kind of weird. And that's why I jumped back to the K button real quick, and that button makes the game so easy, and that's another flaw. Even though this game wants to be random, I can still see some kind of pattern of blocks falling from the right to the left, where it is really easy to just climb those blocks and do it all over again.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this game for a couple of minutes, I just hoped I could have fun for a little longer with this game. The concept is great, it just needs some better thinking about where you really want to go with this. Is it just something extra for the fans, or do you really want to make a great game out of this? And if you choose for the fans, I myself would really be dissapointed, because as I said before, this concept stays great.

Pretty original!

Normally, I don't like these kind of FPS's, but this was pretty fun to play. Never thought of the idea of playing this in a RL environment. Well done :-).

That's pretty strange..

I have absolutely no clue why this game scored so high, but even I can't deny that I played this game for at least half an hour without realising it.. :P

Pretty good, but..

Everyone knows you won't win the originality price with this, but besides that, there are some more little flaws. First, the art is pretty good, but it's a little too repetetive. Also as mentioned earlier, the bike is too heavy, and because you made your levels to that weight, the game is too easy. But overall you made a pretty good game. I have seen better Trial games.
